Have you ever been curious about learning stage combat? Do you want to brush up on your skills? Join TSC’s Resident Fight Director Lauren Hester Gunn for a weekend of combat! We will take you through a series of hand-to-hand moves and then add work with a rapier to slice and dice your enemies. This fun, safe, and repeatable choreography will challenge both the experienced actor and the curious novice. Beyond staging fights at TSC for multiple seasons, Lauren has locally directed fights with Ballet Memphis, Opera Memphis, Theatre Memphis, New Moon Theatre, and at several high schools. Nationally, Lauren is an Associate Instructor with Dueling Arts International and taught at the Central Illinois Stage Combat Workshop and DAI’s National Summer Intensive in Cape Girardeau.
Classes will be held on April 18 from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm (including a lunch break) and April 19 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. Registration for this workshop is $175.
