Southern Sirens and Shake(s), Rattle, and Roll
September 2017 - June 2018

Bring our popular TSC actors into your school, center, or office!

We perform two fast, fun, informative shows that are appropriate for all ages and are highly entertaining.  Performances are 45 minutes in length and have minimal technical needs.  Each show includes a post-show discussion with the actors.

Cost: $500.

Shake(s), Rattle & Roll pays tribute to our hometown heritage.  This show lovingly links the signature music of Memphis to the works of Shakespeare that (we imagine) inspired them.  You will discover chart-topping, toe-tapping, foot-stomping, got-to-jump-out-of-your-seat-and-move-with-it SHAKESPEARE!  Enjoy a whirlwind of scenes and soliloquies sure to make you want to SHOUT! Material includes Julius Caesar, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Othello, Richard II, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Antony and Cleopatra, Twelfth Night, and Taming of the Shrew.

In Southern Sirens the celebrated Southern prose of Eudora Welty and Flannery O'Connor are dramatized in this NEW 45-minute production.  Excerpts from stories and letters illuminate the ground-breaking styles of these short story writers as they tackle social truths with arresting clarity and humor.

Performance Space: To play, we require approximately a 16’ wide x 15’ deep space for the performance.  Stage lights and amplified sound are unnecessary.  Our actors will bring everything they require with them.  No stage or elevation is required, so we can play in a variety of spaces.  Though we do not require a stage or raised playing space, please ensure the chosen performance area has good visibility for your audience.  Material is suitable for all ages.

For more information and to book your show today, please contact Carmen-maria Mandley, TSC Education Manager, by emailing or by calling (901) 759-0620.
