Leverage the power of social media to support Shakespeare Education and Performance in Memphis.  Facebook fundraising has never been easier to rally friends and family to support your favorite non-profit. Whether it’s a Facebook Birthday Fundraiser or “just because”, you can start raising money to support TSC in as little as 30 minutes.

Here’s how:

1. Click “Select nonprofit” on the Facebook Fundraiser page here.
2. Search for Tennessee Shakespeare Company. 
3. Create a fundraising goal with a deadline. While it can be as small or as big as big as you’d like it to be, successful campaigns typically have goals of $200-$2,500 for total donations raised. The deadline should be at least 4-5 days and no longer than 2 weeks for maximum effectiveness.
4. Add a name and the reasons behind the fundraiser. The title should be descriptive yet short.  This is the place where you can list all the reasons why you’re supporting TSC and why your friends should, too! Making this personal encourages your friends and family to support you and the cause you love.
5. Pick a cover photo and click create! Choose your favorite TSC photo or click here to download this one we’ve created for you! After you open the link, right click on the image and click “Save image as…” to download the photo!
6. Congrats!  Your Facebook Fundraiser is live. Invite your friends and family to the Facebook Fundraiser page where they’ll be able to donate and share it on their Facebook profiles, too! 
   

Tips and Tricks for Managing Your Fundraiser

• Stay Involved! Post updates on the fundraiser progress, share tidbits of why you’re fundraising for TSC throughout the fundraiser, and keep the page active. Friends and family will be more incentivized to donate the more often they see it on their feed and the more often they are notified about activity on your fundraising page.
• Say “Thanks” early and often. Even before you hit your fundraising goal, you can be thanking donors.  Maybe do a quick shout out to individual donors by tagging them in a post or post a quick video thank you to the whole group!
