Tennessee Shakespeare Company Season Auditions
Non-Equity Performers and Stage Managers for 2024-25
in Memphis

Our expanded hours of season auditions are now filled.  If you would like to be placed on our Waiting List, please email your headshot/resume to loganmccarty@tnshakespeare.org before July 9.  That list will be called in the order of received requests in the event of non-appearances or extra time on the day of the auditions.  You must be present at TSC at the time your name is called on July 13 starting at 10:00 am.  If you are not, the next name in the list will reserve the option to audition.  Thank you.

When:            
In-person on Saturday, July 13 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Where:
Tennessee Shakespeare Company, 7950 Trinity Road, Memphis, TN 38018-6297.  Free private parking adjacent to theatre.

Seeking:
Non-AEA actors experienced with Shakespeare’s verse and/or teaching of grade school/high school students.  Performers and Stage Managers of all ethnicities, races, and genders are strongly encouraged to audition/interview.

Dan McCleary, Producing Artistic Director
Stephanie Shine, Stage Director
Sarah Hankins, Director of Education and Outreach

Season:
The Comedy of Errors, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet; also a second comedy by William Shakespeare and a play by George Bernard Shaw.

Contract:
Multiple production (weeks) and project (months) contracts are available.  Contracts average $500.00/week.  Rehearsals are 5-6 days per week.  Some performance schedules include student morning matinees; rehearsal calls are staggered daily.

Callbacks:
If necessary, will occur same day.  Text will be provided.

Dates:
Season begins September 2 and runs through April 20, 2025.

Performers prepare:
two contrasting Shakespeare monologues/soliloquies, at least one piece in verse and one piece comedic; as well as one piece from the 20th Century classical repertoire with GB Shaw an ideal selection.  Total time of combined pieces: three minutes.  Bring one current headshot and performance resume stapled front-to-back in the four corners.  Please be advised to follow these guidelines exactly. 

Stage Managers prepare:
resume, prompt book, representative SM paperwork.
